This group is intended to be a way for Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, and Hearing ASL speakers to connect in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Yeah, it is kind of hard for us to find each other, minorities within minorities.
This group is for anyone who has a passion for American Sign Language (ASL). We welcome all adults who are Deaf, hard of hearing (HH), hearing, students, parents, teachers, interpreters, or any community member looking for an opportunity to connect with other signers! We offer a casual and fun environment, opportunities to get together for conversation, laughs and fellowship, make new friends, socialize, relax and enjoy each other's company, as well as having the privilege of helping others stre …
Encouraging signers from beginner to expert as we relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and improve our signing skills to become more proficient in communicating in ASL. Come and enjoy fellowship with us as we share experiencess and develop our knowledge of Deaf culture. Classes in beginning ASL are available to those interested.
